A new dining and nightlife destination is coming to downtown Augusta, bringing fresh life to a familiar riverfront location.

The former Riverfront Barbeque & Grille space will soon become home to two new concepts: The Kennebec Room, a restaurant located on the downstairs level, and The Nightcap Lounge, an upstairs cocktail bar taking over the former Gin Mill space.

Elevated Comfort Food at The Kennebec Room

The Kennebec Room will offer elevated comfort food in a welcoming downtown setting. Guests can expect familiar, satisfying dishes with a more refined touch, along with local draft beers on tap.

With its location in the heart of downtown Augusta and near the Kennebec River, the restaurant has the potential to become a new gathering place for everything from a casual dinner to drinks with friends.

Craft Cocktails at The Nightcap Lounge

Upstairs, The Nightcap Lounge will offer a completely different atmosphere. Described as an intimate, moody cocktail lounge, the space will serve craft cocktails in what promises to be a stylish and inviting setting.

The combination of a full restaurant downstairs and a dedicated cocktail lounge upstairs will give guests the option to enjoy dinner before heading up for a nightcap—or simply visit the lounge for a beautifully crafted drink.
