This Maine DOT Hard Hat Was Just Found 3,300 Miles Away in Norway
Don't confuse the Norway we're talking about with the town in Maine. We're talking about Norway the country. You know, the one located next to Sweden? Okay, that may not help because there's also a Sweden, Maine too. Alright, we're just getting into the weeds here.
The point here is that somehow (no one seems to know quite how), a Maine Department of Transportation hardhat made it's way from the Pine Tree State all the way over to Europe.
We're guessing, based on the photos published on the Maine DOT Facebook Page, that it probably ended up in the ocean somehow and floated from North America all the way over to a fjord in Europe.
In the photo we can see a young man named Sibjorn wearing the new found sea treasure. Currently there's no word on if Norwegian officials plan to send the hardhat back, or if Maine will just be increasing our taxes to pay for it. Just kidding! Kind of.
