Maine really lights up for the holidays, doesn't it?  We have some of the best Christmas & holiday lights displays in all of New England.  The lights at Sunday River, for example.  And of course, the Gardens Aglow attraction at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

There are probably close to a dozen professionally done lights displays in Maine, but there are dozens more amateur lights displays that are, in some cases, just as good as the professionally done displays.  Some people really put a lot of time and effort into decorating their homes and property.

Some of these displays are really off the beaten path, too.  The One Fun Family display is a really good example.

Now in its sixth year, the display keeps getting bigger and bigger.  The display, located at 615 Athens Road in Hartland, has over 100 inflatables, thousands of lights set to music, and more.

While it is not open yet, they plan to have the lights operating within the next few days.  Once they are ready, the attraction will be open nightly through New Years Eve.

They are also getting geared up for their Candy Cane Corner event.  This year, it will take place from 5 to 8 PM on Saturday, December 16.

The Facebook event page goes on to say:

We will have free hot cocoa and candy canes. Santa will be making a special stop to visit kiddos for the event! Letters to Santa or donations can be dropped off in our special mail box in the front of our house 24-7 or mailed to our address, 615 Athens Rd. Hartland, Maine 04943.
