To my wife, Keri, on Mother's Day, I know I don't say it enough, but I love you! (And so do our kids)

I know it seems cliche to pen an appreciation letter merely because it's Mother's Day weekend, and you're right, it totally is. But here we are.

You have been such an incredible mom (and a bonus mom!) to our wonderful sons. And, if you haven't noticed by now, they completely adore you. Your incredible commitment to their happiness and joy is unparalleled. You truly care more about them than you do yourself- the true sign of an incredible mom.

You get up in the morning before the sun, and often before me (and I host a freaking morning show) just to make sure you're ready to go for the day before the kids get up. You do that so when they wake, your attention and focus can be solely on them. I honestly don't even know how you do it every day. I literally only have to take care of myself in the morning and even that is a trying task.

From making lunches to shuttling back and forth to school and daycare to making sure all the school paperwork is filled out and returned, you literally do it all. All of this while maintaining a pristine home and working 40+ hours a week.

When I tell you that I literally couldn't do what you do, I mean it. I don't say it because it's 'just something people say'. I literally don't believe that I have the mental capacity to do all of the things you do in the course of a week- I'd go crazy and be locked inside a padded room.

Even when I think I'm helping you I'm probably just getting in the way- but you still seem to appreciate the gesture.

I know I'm not easy to love. I'm quick to anger, easily frustrated, act like a child on occasion and can be a downright unpleasant human sometimes. Fortunately, I have you and Lexapro to help keep me balanced in this crazy life of ours.

So on this Mother's Day, and all the other 364 days of the year, thank you. Thank you for being the proverbial glue that binds our family together. The one who keeps us centered, focused, dressed, fed and safe. Thank you for being my wife, and our kid's mom.

Thank you for loving us as much as we love you.

Happy Mother's Day!
