Now that fall is officially here it's time to look forward to Halloween. It's hard to believe it's only 5 weeks away. Of course we're psyched for the 92 Moose annual free family Halloween Party on Halloween and this year we're proud to present 'Town of Terror' at the Pittston Fairgrounds.

What are some of the hot trends for Halloween? Well, according to the annual Halloween Survey released by thrift retailer Savers, nearly half of American adults planning to wear a costume this year. The classics are making a comeback, too. 30% of adults will dress as vampires or witches and 31% will be getting ideas from movies, TV shows and celebrities.

Here are some of the other hot Halloween trends for 2014:

- 88% of parents say their kids will dress up for Halloween, and more than half let their kids pick out their own their costume choice.
- Americans think Disney’s 'Frozen' will be the top movie costume inspiration.
- Americans believe Lady Gaga will take home the award for best Halloween costume.
- 82% of those who usually dress up plan their costume well in advance.
- Americans chose “The Walking Dead” as the TV show that will inspire the most costumes.
- More than two in three prefer a funny or scary costume over a sexy look.
- Nearly half of 18-29-year-olds care more about looking good in their costume.
– 53% of Americans plan to decorate their house for Halloween.
