United Technologies Corporation Fire and Security in Pittsfield Lays Off 300 Workers

It's a sad day for Pittsfield. According to a story from WGME, 300 workers at United Technologies Corporation Fire and Security will lose their jobs and within a year the plant will be closed.

The company says they can relocate 100 of the 300 workers to its North Carolina plant.

The facility was Pittsfield’s second largest employer.
