There are just a handful of albums I own that I treasure, one of which turns 20 years old today! Van Halen's 'Balance' was released on this day, January 24, 1995.

Balance had two Top 40 hits and a couple of others worthy of note that did well on the rock charts. The album only sold just over 3 million copies, but stands as one of all time favorites.

One of the first songs I remember playing a lot when I first started in radio was, "Can't Stop Lovin' You." I swear that song stayed in high rotation for like six months, but that was alright as it had no burn on me.

The other pop release from 'Balance' was a ballad entitled, "Not Enough." That song since I never hear it has a nostalgic affect on me. It brings me back to the two summers I spent in Bangor (1995-1996).

The other two releases with less impact were "Amsterdam" and "Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do"

"Amsterdam" is a "rebel song" and "Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do" is a very angry song with punch.
