Van Halen: ‘Diamond’ David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?

Back on this date, March 27, 1986, Sammy Hagar played his first live show as the front man for Van Halen in Shreveport, LA. Hagar replaced the flashier, Diamond David Lee Roth or a bit better than a decade. Van Halen is one of my favorite rock bands of all time. Now the obvious and classic question is who is better or maybe better put, who do you like better, David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?

I kind of prefer David Lee Roth over Sammy Hagar only because he was the first and original. Roth was a better front man for a rock band but Sammy was a better a writer and singer.
