What’s The Deal With “Mr. Brightside”?

The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" came out in 2003 and is extremely catchy -

It reached peaked at #3 on the US Top 40 Chart.  So, it was a BIG song...  Not HUGE, but big.

For some reason, this song is EVERYWHERE now!  I've had it requested at the last two high school dances I DJ'd and had other DJ friends say they've used it at weddings and club gigs they've done.

Any idea why it's back?  I mean, usually there is a reason...

"Don't Stop Believing" made a comeback after the last ep of "The Sopranos" and "Pony" came back because of "Magic Mike".
