Where Does Hair for Extensions Come From?

That line started me thinking about hair extensions.  (Welcome to my world!  This is all it takes to get my brain of on a tangent, but back to the hair.)

Apparently the wig/hair extension industry has a very long history and it is a little sketchy (ok, VERY sketchy) and there are a of question that don’t get answered.

Cosmo had a story that pointed to an overall lack of knowledge of where most of hair comes from ….as well as some other facts…but then I found this... a this video from Refinery29 that did an in-depth look at the exploitation and one guy who is trying to make a difference in how the human hair trade is done.  Check this out!!
