Why Latto’s “Big Energy” Is A Grandchild Song
Considering it is still early March, it was a really nice day today. So nice, that I spent my lunch driving around, windows down, blasting music.
Then, the Latto song "Big Energy" came on and something dawned on me... The song is a grandchild!
What do I mean by that?
Out in late 2021, the song "Big Energy" is based on Mariah Carey's 1995 song "Fantasy". "Fantasy" was based on the Tom Tom Club's early 1980s song "Genius of Love".
So, "Genius of Love" is the grandparent, "Fantasy" is the parent", and "Big Energy" is the grandchild (or child of "Fantasy".
Follow my logic?
