The Rumors Are True: 5 Guys is Coming to Waterville

I needed some good news after the dreary winter we've had weather wise. 5 Guys, 5 Guys, 5 Guys. Hey, that rhymes.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries plans to open a location in Waterville. There are already locations in South Portland, Brunswick and Bangor. The chain has more than 1,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.

Five Guys serves only hamburgers with an assortment of toppings, french fries, hot dogs and sandwiches made of the burger toppings. Don't forget about the free peanuts in the shell, too.

A company spokesperson confirmed to the Morning Sentinel that a Five Guys will open, but said he did not know the location. The rumor is, it will be in the recently vacated Friendly's on Main Street.

Wherever and whenever it opens, I can wait, as long as I know it's coming. Who want to join me for the first burger?
