Hi there, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Matt.

And, a fun fact about me, is that I'm the guy that orders the exact same thing everywhere I go.

That thing just happens to be chicken tenders.

I guess you could say I'm a child, I'm missing out on so many other things or that I am a regional expert on all things chicken tenders. I prefer the latter if we're being completely honest here.

Recently, the wife and I took a trip from Maine to Boston for an overnight stay at the CitizenM that culminated in the crushing defeat of the Golden State Warriors as we watched the Boston Celtics absolutely light the court up on Sunday afternoon.

Basketball aside, we were there a night early and needed a place close to our hotel to grab dinner and few cold drinks.

Tavern in The Square has entered the chat.

Just down from our hotel, literally a 2-minute (or less) walk, Tavern in The Square is just that- a tavern in the square.

It is perfectly appointed with large tables, booths, couples seating and a huge wrap-around bar.

There was a bit of a wait when we arrived so we bellied up and had a delicious cocktail while we waited for our table. After we got sat at our intimate little table, the server came over to grab another drink and appetizer order while we perused the menu.

My wife was the only one who needed any time to actually decide what to eat, where I just needed to know where the tenders were on the menu.

But, much to my pleasant surprise, they weren't just regular tenders.

There's a special ingredient that makes the chicken tenders at Tavern in The Square the most amazing things I've ever eaten.

That ingredient? Cereal.

Yes, cereal. But not just 'any' cereal.

You see, Tavern in The Square uses cornflake crumbs as the primary breading for their tenders and the result is pure deliciousness. With the perfect amount of crunch to juicy chicken ratio, these babies are the real deal.

I got mine plain, but you can order them tossed in an array of different sauces or just some on the side. Oh, and I would also recommend getting some of their hand-cut fries or perfectly golden tots to go with. (We did both!).

Next time you're in the area and you have a little rumbly in your tumbly, I highly encourage you to head to Tavern in The Square and get yourself some tendies.

Tell them Matt sent you. They'll have no idea what you're talking about.
