Hey, I could write about this everyday! Gas prices keep going down. I don't use as much gas anymore since I live and work in Augusta now, BUT to fill my SUV for $30 is an amazing feeling!! The average price of gasoline in Maine has fallen 8.5 cents a gallon in the last week.

Website GasBuddy.com reports the average price was $2.16 per gallon, according to a daily survey of 1,228 Maine outlets. The  national average fell 5.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.05 per gallon. Prices were nearly a $1.35 per gallon lower than the same day a year ago and 45.3 cents per gallon lower than one month ago. The national average decreased more than $1.24 per gallon over the last year and 39.4 cents per gallon over the last month.

I have no idea how long these prices for gas will last but I sure like it right now, but I don't think any of us should get to used to it. I suspect one day soon they will bounce back up.  Gosh, I hope I am wrong!!
