What do you think about driving to London? It might happen.Though it is a long way off, if it ever happens.

You thought I was referring to crossing the Atlantic, no, go west and you will find the way.

There is a proposal in the works over in Russia to link Russia with the US and build a a super long highway through Siberia via Moscow, calling it The Trans-Siberian Superhighway

Imagine driving over and/or under the Bering Strait from Alaska to Russia or loading your car on a ferry to cross the 55-mile stretch and seeing parts of the world you never could have envisioned?

For the highway to fully run, Alaska or the US government would need to dump money into building a highway into and out of Nome, Alaska as it is separated from the rest of Alaska with no direct contact with the rest of the state's road system.

The road trip from New York to London would be half the circumference of the world at 12,910 miles. While the route of the highway hasn't been determined, you can see an approximate map below.

This is one of those, "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of things, but I do find it interesting.

The actual route of the proposed superhighway has not been determined. The line on the map indicates an approximate route. Map courtesy of Google Maps
