Everybody is wondering why the Seahawks went for the pass and not the run play at the end of the Super Bowl. Now Pete Carroll has supplied us with an answer as to his thinking on the play call.

Pete Carroll says it wasn't the right match up for the run. Carroll figured he still had two more downs if the pass play didn't work. I can only speculate, but I also think it was so the Seahawks could eat some precious time off the clock, burning a play as well.

Regardless if this is just lip service or accurate, the Patriots won and I'm alright with that.
