Trot Nixon, former Boston Red Sox right fielder, will be the featured guest at the Portland Sea Dogs 2013 Hot Stove Dinner and silent auction. The event is Jan. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sable Oaks Marriott in South Portland and benefits the Maine Children's Cancer Program. All who attend will receive an autographed 8x10 photo of Trot Nixon.

Get ready for a great time to help outsome great causes, Saturday September 1. It's the Annual Bing-Sol Pig Roast and Auction. Gates open at 10:00 am and BBQ buffet starts at 12:00 noon. The event is hosted by Doug and Rita Sukeforth and will benefit Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area and Spectrum Generations Meals on Wheels.
