I understand that newspapers are becoming less relevant as time goes by. People satisfy their hunger for news through a myriad of portals, from major news networks to local tv and radio sites. The difference is, generally speaking, most all of them are underwritten by ads on their sites not by charging a fee.
WGME, Channel 13 already sort of does this on Thursday nights with their ‘Restaurant Report.' The city of Lewiston may post restaurant inspections on their website. City councilors like the idea, but it will go to a public hearing before a vote.
Google's Santa Tracker is back this year and it's extremely fun for everyone except those of us who might be "too cool" to enjoy the fun it offers. I had to pry myself away this morning...
Not biggie...we all make mistakes but, when the state website has something this glaring PLUS they are sending out robo texts that say the same thing, somebody needs to look at quality control...just sayin'. :-)
