22-Year-Old Woman Killed, Several Injured, in Sunday Night Maine Crash
According to WGME 13, one person is dead and several were injured after a Sunday night crash in the Maine town of Naples.
Officials say the crash happened when a 21-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and careened into a tree at around 11:25 Sunday night. The driver of the vehicle was taken via LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center and was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Two people that were sitting in the back were also injured and taken to Central Maine Med, though officials indicated their injuries were not life threatening.
Sadly, a 22-year-old woman riding in the front seat was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Ashley Gentile-Wing of Pennsylvania. Police say she was in face wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
