92 Moose Wins Big at Maine Association of Broadcasters Awards
Of all the things a station can win awards for, whether it be on air talent or best production etc, I've always thought that awards that reflect the work we do with and for the community are the most important.
This year (2025), 92 Moose was up for a MABbie for 'Commitment to Community' for our 7 years of work hosting Camp Out Hunger. So the whole team piled into a party bus, donned our finest formalwear and headed to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Saturday night.
For reference, in case you don't know, Camp Out Hunger is an annual on-location food drive event that we host in the Sam's Club (Augusta) parking lot. Our whole team lives in campers for an entire week and take non-perishable food and monetary donations to help support the food program at the Salvation Army.
It is a labor of love that has come to be our absolute favorite event of the year. From the returning faces year after year to all the new people we get to meet, the event has proven to be a critical resource for helping keep families fed throughout the brutally cold winter months here in Maine.
Well, thanks to the effort of EVERYONE involved in this crazy event, 92 Moose and B98.5 secured the first place nod from the MAB and were presented a beautiful plaque in front of hundreds of our colleagues from all across the Maine radio and TV landscape.
We are so honored to have won this award and can't wait to hang it in our lobby as a testament and reminder that out of all the things we do here, commitment to community is the most important.
We'll see you at Camp Out Hunger 2025 November 3rd-7th!
