April is National Donate Life Month
Are you an organ donor?
I am!
114,000 people are waiting for a transplant and the list grows on a daily basis and 22 people (adults and kiddos) die each day for the lack of a donor.
One donor who is able to donate organs, eyes and tissue can save and heal more than 75 people.
On April 12th is Blue and Green Day...they are asking people to wear blue and green, hold events and fundraisers, and and take part in events to promote the success of organ, eye and tissue transplantation and the extreme need for registered donors.
Donate Life America is working to increase the number of donated organs, eyes and tissues available to save and heal lives through organ transplant. They are also working to develop a culture where donation is embraced as a fundamental human responsibility. They take care of the National Donate Life Registry at RegisterMe.org.
Please check out the FAQ's at their website for questions.
So...are you a donor too? If not ...here is where you can register.
