Augusta Mother Of Girl Missing Last Week Has Been Charged

Lenore Wilson, 3, of Augusta, who was the subject of an Amber Alert last week was found safe hours later and brought to the Augusta Police Department. But now it looks like her mother will be facing charges.

According to WMTWTV.COM, Karen Lea, 40, of Augusta was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Lea is the mother of Lenore Wilson.

Augusta police are working to finalize the investigation and will present the case to the Kennebec County District Attorney's Office to determine if any other charges will be filed.
