Augusta Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrests
According to a press release from the Augusta Police Department, a Tuesday (July 28th) afternoon traffic stop near Stone Street lead to the arrests of two men.
The traffic stop occurred at approximately 4:40 PM. A search of the Volkswagen showed evidence of illicit substances. Later, a warranted search of the vehicle found crack cocaine and fentanyl. Additionally, a large amount of cash was found.
Arrested in the incident were 25 year old Emlyn Rooks-Hughes, of Randolph, and 25 year old Allen Zoglio, of New York City.
Rooks-Hughs was arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl Drugs Class C crime (s). Bail was set at $10,000. Zoglio has been arrested for Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs Class A crime, and Possession of Scheduled Drugs Class D crime. Bail was set at $60,000.
