Baby Born After Mother Was Killed In Skowhegan Crash Has Died
According to WABI, the baby born by emergency c-section after his mother was killed in a car accident in Skowhegan on Jan. 22 has died.
The WABI story gave the baby's name as Gage Strout. The baby was delivered after his mother Desiree Strout, 27, was killed in a crash on Route 2 around 7 a.m. and lost control of her vehicle after hitting ice. Her vehicle hit a snowbank and then went into a frozen pond. Police said she as on her way to the hospital so labor could be induced and Strout's 8-year-old daughter and her husband, Harry Weeks, who were in the car with her, were taken to a local hospital to be treated.
The family has established a Go Fund Me account to help with medical and funeral expenses.
