Breaking: Two Dead In Temple, Maine Shooting-UPDATED
According to Maine Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland, the bodies of a husband and wife have been discovered inside their Farmington area home. Both appear to have been shot.
McCausland said according to State Police, the two people have been identified as Thomas Masse, 60 and Michelle Masse, 59. The State Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies on the bodies Wednesday at their offices in Augusta. Evidence technicians and detectives will work into the night gathering evidence from inside the home. Thomas Massie worked at Collins Enterprises in Wilton and Michelle worked at the Colonial Valley Motel in Farmington, according to McCausland.
Maine State Troopers were called to the home, on Temple Road in Temple, this morning after the husband made a 911 call threatening to shoot himself. The State Police tactical team and negotiators attempted to communicate with the couple but were not successful.
The bodies were discovered by members of the tactical team who entered the home about 12:30 pm.
A team of State Police detectives and evidence technicians are attempting to determine the circumstances of the deaths.
