Two separate candlelight vigils are being planned for Brooke Logan, a Husson University student, who was strangled to death earlier this week.

One is is set for Sunday (Nov. 24) at 6 p.m. at the Husson University in Bangor at the campus bell tower. Those wishing to leave remembrance items can do so starting at 2 p.m. In case of bad weather, the vigil will be moved inside Newman Gym.

A second vigil being planned by relatives and friends of the 21-year will be Wednesday (Nov. 27) at Edward Little High School in Auburn, Brooke's hometown. The remembrance will take place near the E.L. water tower at 5 p.m.

Locke was a 2010 E.L. graduate and a third-year occupational therapy student at Husson in Bangor. Police say she was strangled by her boyfriend, 21-year old Zackery Mailloux, who has been charged with murder. The 2 shared an apartment on Essex Street, Bangor.

A Facebook page, 'In Remembrance of Brooke Locke' has been created and will be updated with further information.
