The Cage in Lewiston: Still One of Maine’s Best Under-the-Radar Bars
If you're a fan of dive bars like many of us, you've probably heard about The Cage in Lewiston.
Or as many locals call it, "Le Cage."
I have lived in Maine for over 20 years and have only been there once but, it's been the spot for locals and college students from nearby Bates to grab a drink, shoot some pool, and kick it with friends for so many years.
So when word got out that it was under new ownership, we were a little worried.
But fear not because The Cage is still kicking, and it's still the best dive bar in Maine.
From open mic nights, live performances to fun and naughty events, The Cage is killing it right now, even after new ownership. At first, The Cage was closing, and then, according to the Sun Journal, it was announced there was new ownership, and now they are back up and running.
As per my last article, the new owners have a very sentimental attachment to this historic spot, and it seems like the future of The Cage is turning into something awesome!
