The state Fire Marshal's Office is continuing their investigating into what caused a roller coaster ride to come apart Friday (June 12) evening at a carnival at Head of Falls in Waterville. Three children were injured in the incident.


According to centralmaine.com, the injuries were not serious, mostly superficial. However one child was taken to Inland Hospital for treatment.

The Dragon Wagon, a dragon-shaped roller coaster, came apart while running just after 7:00 pm. One of the cars separated from the front of the ride. The Fire Marshal's Office said all rides were inspected Wednesday.
