Whether you're a fan of the man, or not, there is no denying that Dr. Anthony Fauci has been the country's go-to man throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A new book, which will be released in June, has been written to teach our kids about him.

According to WGME, "Dr. Fauci: How I Boy From Brooklyn Became America's Doctor" was written by Kate Messner.  It was illustrated by Alexandra Bye, and will be released by Simon & Schuster on June 29th, 2021.

For the book, Messner reportedly interview Dr. Fauci himself.  The book covers his childhood, his time in medical school, his time working for seven US Presidents and, of course, the time he has spent trying to combat the pandemic.

According to Wikipedia, Anthony Stephen Fauci was born in New York City on December 24th, 1940.  His father was a Columbia University-educated pharmacist who owned his own pharmacy.  A real family business, mother helped run the pharmacy, while Dr. Fauci delivered prescriptions.

After graduating from medical school and completing his residency in 1968, Dr. Fauci joined the National Institutes of Health and began work at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases lab.  In 1984, he was named the director of the Institutes of Health and began work at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.  Among his many accomplishments, in the early 1980s, he spearheaded initiatives to develop drugs designed to combat HIV/AIDS.  You can read more about his life HERE

While it does not come out until June 29th, you can pre-order the book about Dr. Fauci HERE.
