A Gala of Giving: Help Make Christmas Special for Kids in Maine

As the holiday season approaches, the spirit of giving will take center stage in Lewiston, all thanks to The Tucci’s and TK & Co.

You may know Breeana Tucci from Tucci's + Co Salon in Lewiston. She with Timberly Kirstin, well known Maine realtor, are putting together a gala for the giving.

It’s The Christmas Toy Drive, a beautiful black tie gala hosted at The Colisee on December 6th, 2024 at 6:00pm in Lewiston.

The Colisee will transform into a sparkly and festive gathering place, where we come together to help make a lasting impact on the lives of Maine children in need.

This is also a personal mission to give back to kiddos for Breeanna Tucci and her wife. Breeanna told me that becoming foster parents was a journey born from a deep sense of need and compassion.

Breeanna told me,

"Well for us at the time, I had a cousin grow up in foster care so I knew there was a need. We wanted to love babies or kids who didn’t have a home, and we gave them one. Never thought we would be adopting 5. But at the end of the day, not all kids are lucky. Some foster parents ship the kids away with other people during holidays 'cause they don’t wanna include them."

Breeanna's words are a vital reminder of the challenges faced by so many Maine foster children, especially during the holidays.

She went on to say, "So it’s my job to make sure these kids have a good Christmas and know someone cares about them."

This drive to help and support children in foster care is what inspired Breeanna and her friend Timberly, to organize this special event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine, Inc. (AFFM). This is an organization that gives essential support and resources to families going through the foster care and adoption system.

Those who attend are asked to bring a gift for entry.

"Foster kids don’t always get the best Christmas, and I want to change that!"  remarked Breeanna
