Holiday Variety Show with Santa and Mission Working Dogs at Auburn Theatre
This weekend, the Community Little Theatre in Auburn is the place to be for the best kind of Christmas show filled with songs, stories, and holiday cheer! The show will feature talented local performers and is packed with festive music and performances.
I am also singing in the show and I couldn't be more honored to be a part of it.
The show will surely get you in the holiday spirit. But that's not all, because there’s even more fun to be had with raffles, a visit from Santa, and a delicious holiday bake sale!
Doors will open 6:50pm, 40 minutes early so that you can take pictures in front of the decorated stage, take part in the baked goods, raffles, and Santa!
The show is taking place this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., but there's something extra special about tonight's dress rehearsal. No, it's not open to the public but I have to share with you what Mission Working Dogs of Maine will be doing.
They are joining the performers for a unique experience.
What is Mission Working Dogs?
Mission Working Dogs is an organization dedicated to training purpose-bred dogs to help folks with disabilities, which will help let them to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
These dogs play an important role in providing support to their handlers, helping them in everyday tasks and activities.
As part of their ongoing partnership with the Community Little Theatre, Mission Working Dogs will bring a pack of their trained dogs to tonight’s dress rehearsal!
The goal? To get the dogs comfortable in a live theatre environment, helping them adjust to being in spaces like movie theatres or performance venues, where they’ll be supporting their handlers in the future.
This collab is amazing and not only shows the important work of Mission Working Dogs but also brings a very fun touch to the holiday festivities. I can't wait to witness these incredible dogs in action and watch them, watch us in the theatre seats!
Tickets for the Christmas show are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and all proceeds go toward supporting the theatre and its programs.
Don’t miss out on this magical weekend of holiday fun and giving back to the community.
