Kids always get up early during summer vacation.  During the school year, they have to be DRAGGED out of bed, but it is a completely different story when getting up early gives them a chance to watch cartoons for a few hours.

When I got up this morning, eight year old Denise announced to me that she had found food for her and her sister.  She explained that she had fed the six year old "candy", but she was trying to eat "healthy" so she grabbed a toast strudel.  She even took the time to put icing on it!

The problem?

She doesn't know how to work a toaster, so she was eating it still frozen.

That's a skill we'll tackle when I get home.

On the plus side, it probably kept her busy for about an hour as she slowly gnawed through it!
