This Beloved Maine Ice Cream Stand Has Been Serving Up Sweet Treats for Generations
I realize that when it comes to nostalgic places in Maine that it is mostly objective, am I right? For something to be truly nostalgic, you yourself have to have some kind of experience, connection or memory to the person, place or thing.

The same is true when it comes to something as seemingly simple as an ice cream stand. And while one might argue that an ice cream stand couldn't possibly hold incredible amounts of nostalgia, I would push back and say that it's indeed some of life's simplest pleasures that bring us the largest amounts of joy and...nostalgia.
Today, as a Maine lifestyle author, I've decided to take my own personal trip down memory, but you're invited to tag along, too. This morning I'm remembering my childhood ice cream stand. I mean, we all have one, don't we? Even if it's no longer operational, you 100% remember the place your parents would take you for delicious summer soft serve on a hot July evening.

For me, that place was (and still is) Deb's Ice Cream on Water Street in Randolph, Maine. Randolph, one of the smallest town in Maine at just 2.23 square miles, is home to it's own hardware store (Randolph Hardware), grocery store (Goggin's IGA) and even has a Chinese restaurant (Sun Sun).
How do I know all this off the top of my head? Well, I grew up there! For the first thirteen years of my life, I called Randolph home. And whenever my sister and I were taken out for ice cream, it was at Deb's.

But Deb's isn't just really good ice cream. They are also home to Randolph's only mini-golf course. So not only would we get our fill of vanilla soft serve (my favorite), we would also spend countless hours 'out back' playing mini golf and trying not to hit the windmill.
You can follow them here on Facebook, but be warned that they don't post very often. Though they don't really need to because the locals all know about Deb's Ice Cream and where to find it.
