Driver On Maine Turnpike Clocked At 127 MPH
According to the Maine State Police Facebook page, troopers clocked a driver doing 127 miles-per-hour on the Maine Turnpike.
The incident took place near Wells on the highway;s northbound side at approximately 10 PM on Sunday (May 24th) evening. A ticket (or tickets) was written for the appropriate violations.
As the driver was going over 30 miles-per-hour over the speed limit, this would be considered a "Class E Crime", meaning the driver could face a $1,000 find, six months in jail, and license revocation.
Now, we don't know where the driver was from, but something tells me he (or she) was in a crazy hurry to start their vacation. Or, maybe they were just in a big hurry to start their fourteen day quarantine?
