According to WMTW, eleven Maine men have now been charged in a massive human trafficking investigation surround the Asian Massage business in Rockland, which is now closed.

The entire investigation began in last July 2024. Law Enforcement in Lincoln County informed Rockland Police Department about suspicious activities at the massage parlor.

The massage parlor was previously located in Waldoboro before they moved to Rockland.

The allegations suggested sexual acts were taking place in exchange for money.

This raised huge concerns about partnerships with organized crime and human trafficking reaching back to New York.

As per the article, the Rockland detectives, who were also supported from federal agencies, launched a long investigation that included electronic and physical surveillance.

They interview patrons of the establishment and did extensive evidence collection.

Rockland Police and Homeland Security then were able to execute a search warrant in December siezing materials.

As of right now, eleven men have been charged with engaging people in prostitution. As per the article, more charges are expected as this unfolds. In addition, even though the massage parlor is close, enforcement do believe similar businesses are active in other places in Maine, as per WMTW.

If you have any information on this, law enforcement is encouraging you to contact Detective Anne Griffith at AGriffith@RocklandMaine.gov.
