Facebook Launched on February 4, 2004 (Nine Years Ago)

Can you believe it, Facebook is nine years old? Mark Zuckerberg launched the social site back on February 4th in 2004. In the beginning it only focused on high school and college students.

When did you enter into the Facebook arena? For me it was at about this time in 2007. Back then it was harder in some ways to locate people. You could really see anything unless you were in the same "network" as the person you were looking for. In the mainstream beginning IT was set up with networks (regions/workplaces/schools.) Now, it's sort of sifts through 'who you may know' with mutual friends.

I'm curious how many hours we've all wasted on Facebook over the past 5 years. Crazy that it hasn't vanished yet, like the ghost towns, that are, MySpace, Friendster, Hi5, Tagged and Bebo.
