Fortunately, not many of us will ever know the pain of having a loved one go missing. The sleepless nights wondering if they are okay. The never ending feeling that he or she could still be out there, decades later.  It makes my gut churn just thinking about it.

Because of that, it is no surprise that, even 35 years after her disappearance, the family of Kimberly Moreau are still seeking answers.

According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, the family of the woman, who went missing at the age of 17 in May of 1986, is offering a reward of $5,000 in exchange for information about what happened to her.

According to the Maine.gov website:

"17-year-old Kimberly Moreau was last seen in Jay at about midnight on May 9, 1986 in the company of an individual she met earlier that day. She has not been seen since. Extensive searches have been conducted throughout the region. Foul play is suspected."

Apparently, her family had offered a similar reward in the early-2000s, but no one came forward.  They're doing it again because the world situation has changed.  With so many people out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their hope is that someone who knows something will be desperate for money.
