Fly Non-Stop From Maine to Orlando, Florida For Just $59 Bucks!
We're pretty lucky here in Maine to have the number of airlines servicing the state that we do. Given our relatively low population and proximity to much larger airports like Boston Logan, it's pretty sweet that we have two major airports in the state of Maine.
If you remember correctly, I brought you a story just over a year ago about a new airline that was going to start service to and from Maine's Portland International Jetport. Because it was a new venture for the Jetport, the airline was offering crazy low fares to really popular destinations.
When it comes to the 'world's nicest airline', we realize that it can be totally subjective, right? One person may think it's American while someone else swears that it's Southwest.
Well, we're pretty sure it's Breeze Airways.
How can we be so sure? Well, quite frankly, it's because their literal slogan is 'World's Nicest Airline'.
However, in addition to being the self-proclaimed 'World's Nicest' airline, could they also be the 'World's Cheapest'? Again, that is a relative question depending on where you're flying to, where you're flying from and the time of year you plan to do your travelling.
Earlier this week, I saw an ad come through my Facebook feed offering wicked-cheap flights from Maine to Florida. As someone who tends to fly Maine to Florida at least once a year, I was intrigued by the info-graphic that had appeared before me.
It was an advertisement from Breeze Airways that was indicating non-stop flights from Maine to Florida were currently as low as $59 bucks. I'm used to spending hundreds so I had to check this out.
After visiting their Website, it turns out that those advertised prices were in fact true. I went through the booking system on Breeze and booked a couple 'fake' trips. It turns out that, at least for the time being, you can book non-stop flights from Bangor International Airport to multiple Florida destinations, including Orlando, for literally just $59 bucks.
Of course, as you would imagine, the price does go up if you want a higher class, a seat choice, or the opportunity to cancel you flight. But with all that aside, a $59 flight that doesn't make any stops along the way is a pretty bitchin' deal if I do say so myself.
Sometimes the days and times that these cheap fares are offered are not the most convenient, but I quickly look around the mild inconvenience and pay much more attention to the cheaper rate!
