Hey, friends, Matt James here. For those that know me well, and even for those that don't, most of you probably know I'm a bit of a motorhead. I'm really great at workin' on em', but I certainly love to drive/ride em'.

For years, actually since I was like 4 years old, I've been completely obsessed with anything that had a motor, including motorcycles. Though I've been riding on and off for years (don't tell the police, or my mom), I finally went and became legal beagle by getting my motorcycle license last year at KMD Driving School in Waterville.

After getting my license, I went and purchased a 20 year old Honda VTX 1800. For the record, I still have and absolutely love that bike. But, something was missing. For me, I've always dreamed of throttling up a classic American-Made Harley Davidson motorcycle. However, they tend to be a little more money than the Hondas off of Facebook Marketplace.

We've talked about buying a Harley for awhile, and oftentimes will wander into North Country Harley to visit friends and 'just look' around. Well, this week, we just looked at one that magically ended up in our garage.

For starters, I have to give the BIGGEST thanks to the team at North Country Harley. Chris G, Bain, Adam, Matt, Chris R and everyone else who made the experience so freaking awesome. Because that's what buying your first Harley Davidson should be- a freaking awesome experience. And this was just that.

Last Saturday my wife and I had popped in on a rainy day with our coffees to just browse around and check out the new stuff they had. Well, it didn't take long for Keri to fall in love with the 'Wicked Red' color of this HD Street Glide.

Fast forward to Wednesday and we were doing the paperwork to bring her home. Actually, I did most of the paperwork, Keri just dropped a check off because she's my sugar-mama. But you don't need me to tell you that, she'll gladly do it for me.

In addition to the coolest purchase I've ever made, NCHD's team of kickass staff hooked us up with an array of HD motorclothes. This is our middle son, Gavin, showing off his new HD threads. Of all my sons (I have 3), I'm pretty sure Gavin will be most likely to be a powersports lover like me.

Once again, thank you so much to North Country Harley for everything you've done for us this week, it doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. I can't freaking wait to get some miles on this thing this summer. And as far as my Honda VTX is concerned, I'm definitely keeping that, too. At least for now!

If you, like I was, are looking for your next or your first Harley Davidson motorcycle, make your first (and only) stop at North Country Harley on Rt 3 in Augusta. Great bikes, great atmosphere, and even better people.
