This morning (10/5) at 8:30am there will be a ribbon cutting celebrates the end of the major construction on Water Street!

According to an email I was reading from the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce the ribbon cutting will happen at the corner of Winthrop and Water Streets where traffic will be stopped for about five minutes in both directions as the construction tape standing in for the symbolic ribbon is cut then Mayor Walker will give a short presentation on the deck next to The Harlow at 100 Water Street.

Work is not done in downtown Hallowell but two way traffic returns to downtown today as the get the area ready for winter and to be finished in the spring.
