
How 200 Tons of Sand Became a Beach Masterpiece in New Hampshire
When you were young, going to the beach was special, putting your feet in the water, and most of all making sandcastles.
So what do you do when you mix together 200 tons of sand and artists? Well, I'll tell ya, the Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic, according to Seacoast.
It’s coming soon, June 12th-June 14. It’s a beautiful celebration of 25 years in the making.
From Coin Toss to World Class: How Hampton Beach Became a Sand Sculpting Legend
The Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic started as a little coin toss during Children’s Week back in 2000 has no grown into one of the most amazing sand sculpting events in the whole entire world.
As per the site, the founder is Greg Grady along with his partner Bob Houle who created this event where now, sculptors are flying Russia, Canada, Hawaii and beyond to create and transform ten tons of sand into pure magic!
These works of art pull you in, they are intricate and deeply moving works of art. You walk up to each and say to yourself, “Wait, how is that sand?”

It will make you speechless and give you goosebumps.
The main event is June 12th and the People’s Choice voting is June 14 from 1-3pm.
The grand prize is a whopping $25,000! So make sure to bring your sunglasses, sunscreen and camera because you are going to want to capture these sandy works of art!
