Harlem Globetrotters Celebrate 100 Years With Portland Maine Show
If you’re looking for slam dunks, trick shots, and nonstop family fun, the Harlem Globetrotters are in Maine this week.
According to their website, the world-famous team brings its 2025–2026 “100-Year Tour” to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Wednesday night and the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland on Thursday. The tour began in December and will ultimately make stops at more than 300 arenas worldwide, including roughly 200 across the United States.
This season marks a major milestone for the Globetrotters as they celebrate a century of basketball history. The “100-Year Tour” honors 100 years of jaw-dropping moves, unforgettable “wow” moments, and the kind of heart-pounding thrills that have made the team a global phenomenon.
The Globetrotters say fans can expect gravity-defying dunks, creative ball-handling, and game-changing tricks that helped redefine the sport. The celebration also includes new surprises, including the debut of the Golden Basketball by Spalding, adding another special touch to this historic tour.
Beyond the action on the court, organizers say this experience is built around the fans. From interactive pre-game entertainment to memorable post-game opportunities with the players, the Globetrotters aim to deliver a night that feels like more than just a basketball game.
For one night only in each Maine city, fans will have the chance to be part of this once-in-a-century celebration as the Harlem Globetrotters mark 100 years of over-the-top fun and unforgettable entertainment.
