Helpful Advice from Kennnebec Valley Humane Society After Dog’s Death in Lewiston

I'm sure you have heard about the tragic story of the dog, who we now know as Abby, that was abandoned last week at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Abby later was hit by a car and killed in Lewiston.

The woman accused of leaving the dog unattended at the shelter is being vilified on social media. None of us know the whole story of exactly what happened. I think it's real important we let authorities handle this case, and that we look ahead on how to prevent a similar incident from occurring.
