History Made: Waterville Welcomes First Female Career Firefighter

According to a Facebook post by Waterville Fire/Rescue, their first female career firefighter has started her orientation training. Her training will continue for a few weeks before she's assigned to C-shift.

Katie Hennessy brings incredible value to the department as a trained firefighter, EMT and Registered Nurse. The department said that her experience with working in the emergency room will 'greatly strengthen our EMS program and contribute to our core mission.
