While so many malls across the country continue to struggle, the Maine Mall in South Portland continues to add new and exciting options. That includes a sister store to the wildly popular Hot Topic chain that is officially celebrating their grand opening.

It's called BoxLunch, and for many shoppers throughout New England, it's a retail chain they're familiar with. There are BoxLunch stores in operation right now in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

What is BoxLunch?

While the name would suggest it's a restaurant, it's definitely not. BoxLunch is an offshoot of Hot Topic, featuring a ton of licensed and unlicensed merchandise centered around Disney and other pop culture phenomena.

It's not cool tees, either. BoxLunch offers a wide selection of wallets, collectibles, home goods, and beauty items that appeal to shoppers of all ages.

Why is the Store Called BoxLunch?

BoxLunch is a civic-minded enterprise, which is where the store got its name. Since its inception, for every $10 shoppers spend at BoxLunch, the store donates a meal to Feeding America, which helps get hot meals in front of people who need them.
