New Asian Restaurant in Westbrook, Maine, Sets Grand Opening

If you haven't visited Westbrook, Maine, recently, there's a lot going on in the bustling suburb of Portland.

Specifically along the Main Street corridor, where new projects are taking shape and some others have recently been completed.

That includes Vertical Harvest, which is on the precipice of its own grand opening.

Those that live and work in downtown Westbrook, Maine, are about to welcome a new restaurant choice to their lunch and dinner options.

Sumo Sushi and Grill Sets Grand Opening Date in Westbrook, Maine

Shared on social media, Sumo Sushi and Grill is ready to open at 57 Bridge Street in Westbrook, Maine.

The restaurant shared their opening day menu that will feature a diverse range of offerings. Sumo plans to bring another option for fresh sushi to the city. They'll also offer up poke bowls for those that work and live in downtown Westbrook.

Sumo also will have an extensive menu of other options like noodle bowls, hibachi favorites as well as an inexpensive fried rice lunch menu.

Sumo Sushi and Grill will have their grand opening on Thursday, October 2.

Sumo Sushi and Grill Replaces Tacos La Poblanita

Sumo Sushi and Grill will take over the space left behind by Mexican restaurant Tacos La Poblanita. The Maine Mall staple had opened in Westbrook in 2023 but decided to close their Bridge Street location a few months ago to focus on food truck business.

Tacos La Poblanita's Maine Mall location continues to operate with regular hours.
