We found out through a very nostalgic Facebook post when Joe shared photos and a heartfelt note on how important returning to visit Maine was for him.

He said it felt like “coming home.”
And he isn’t just another celeb visiting, he actually spent his childhood summers at Peaks, soaking up the sun with his family on the beaches and adventuring to the WWI bunkers.
It was a beautiful reunion for him as he wrote on his page,
“In a lot of ways this was me coming home for the first time in many years. I spent every summer growing up on the island and I’m happy to report that everything was right where I left it… right down to the Moxie, Whoopie Pies, lobster rolls, ferry boats, Sandy Beach, & old WWII bunkers… damn I missed this place. I promise I won’t ever stay away that long again.”
