It has become one of the most important jobs of the last decade and that's the job of trying to keep deadly drugs out of the hands of Maine residents. Sure, this isn't something that only a problem for the Pine Tree State though, in recent years, we've seen a major influx of illegal drugs flooding the state.

According to a press release by Maine State Police Spokeswoman, Shannon Moss, two men were arrested this week following a drug bust by the Maine State Police, Central Field Troop.

Moss reported in the release that the bust happened on Friday at 51 Flatt Road in Knox, Maine. She went on to explain that earlier in the day a traffic stop was conducted on 31-year-old, Caleb Woodard. Woodard was reportedly arrested for drug possession as a result of the stop.

Following the traffic stop, police say attention was then brought to the residence on Flatt Road. Police say that, due to the aforementioned traffic stop, they had probable cause to search the home.

All told, Maine State Troopers were able to seize an alleged 30 grams of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamines, Crack Cocaine, and 10 different un-prescribed pills including suboxone, oxycodone and Xanax.

As a result of the home search, police also arrested, Ryan Kenny, 34.

Charges for both Woodard and Kenny are listed below according to the Maine State Police press release:

Caleb Woodward was charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs Fentanyl
  • Furnishing Schedule W Drugs, Methamphetamines
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Cocaine Base
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Suboxone
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Oxycodone
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule Z Drugs
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person

Ryann Kenny was charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
