Mac Dickson Reviews ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′
One of the best things about getting up at 2:30am is sometimes I get to escape and take in a matinee. That's exactly what I did yesterday. I just had to go see 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.'
First off, if you haven't seen the first one, that's okay. You won't be lost in the story.
Second, it's a great family film, for any ages.
It has everything... action, a love story, actually a few love stories... and lots of humor. It also features one of the best soundtracks ever.
Any movie that uses a 70s one-hit wonder like, Silver's, 'Wham Bam,' is okay in my book. The placement of this song was done to perfection.
The most emotional moment also featured the perfect use of a 70's song. Cat Steven's, 'Father and Son' always makes me cry anyway, so let's just say, a tear or two may have been shed while it was playing during the movie.
And if you're not of fan of Chris Pratt... there is something seriously wrong with you. I am comfortable enough in my manhood to say, I love the guy.
Grab a big bucket of popcorn and get ready for 2 hours of pure fun!
