Maine High School Student Arrested, Charged With Bringing Weapon on School Grounds

According to WGME 13, a Maine teen is in custody following a situation that developed on Monday night.

WGME is reporting that school officials at Maine's Massabesic High School in Waterboro were made aware of pictures and videos that allegedly showed multiple students on school property with what is only being described as 'a weapon'.

Police were immediately involved and were successfully able to seize the weapon from the student and place that student under arrest. Additional students have been issued criminal trespass notices which, at least for now, will bar them from being on any RSU 57 property, according to the news station.

It is also likely, according to police, that more arrests are likely.

WGME says that at this time, no other information has been released, however we will keep this story updated if and when any other information becomes available to us from investigating officials or the news station.
